Job finding

Hey! I know it's been a while. I pretty much journal only on Facebook now, and now anyone can join Facebook, so you can too. Just a little plug. Anyway, after 5 months of job searching, I found a job! I'll be working at Western Air Maps as a GIS Technician. It's in Overland Park, which is on the other side of KC from Liberty, so I won't be far from family and familiarity. I love maps, so even though it's not what I thought I went to school for, it'll still be something I like to do.

It's about time A&M got penalized for their 12th man. I mean everyone else can only have 11 guys on the field, so why did A&M get away with it for so long?....I'm just kidding. I know that the crowd is their 12th man, but how hilarious is it that A&M lost the game on a 12th man penalty! Boomer Sooner! 8-1!

So I should elaborate on my posed question, I feel. There are some things, not all mind you, but some things that I don't like about myself. On my journey of finding confidence in the only thing that won't lead to pride, the first confidence step, and a big one, is knowing who I am, and most importantly, living in that. I see it in people, and I want that aire that says to anyone, "Follow me. I can and will lead the way." But I've also been questioning whether God wants every guy to be this way. After all, I'm supposed to take initiative in everything I do, but it seems like God has gifted some with that, and some He 's given other qualities. Isn't there something to be said that He didn't make us all the same and He doesn't expect us to all be the same? At the same time, I know that confidence in what God has given me is something that not only I will need to find for myself, but for whomever I'm supporting as a father and husband. But to me, it seems like confidence borders too close to pride, and we're told to be humble in the Bible. So how can someone be confident and humble at the same time? That's what I don't get.

How many times can a team shoot themselves in the foot with penalties at crucial points in a game? I'm disappointed because we had two weeks to prepare for the Longhorns, and we didn't play with much passion or preparation. Can it be that difficult to learn to tackle or block ? That's what our team desperately needs. Our talent pool has also gotten to an all-time low since Stoops first took over. Although there were no referee calls that decided the game, there were some questionable calls that led to a momentum shift or a takeaway of an OU momentum shift. As a result, I think our players need to start "accidently" hitting the refs from time to time.

My second team, the Tigers out of Missouri, beat Texas Tech at home.

Boomer Sooner! May the media regret their odd switch in game importance in favor of whom? Oregon and Cal. First of all, Oregon lost and isn't #12 in the country, and secondly, I think California is going to rout them, so it's not even going to be a good game. Whereas you have saxeT, whose only loss is to the #1 team in the country, and OU, whose only loss is to the officials. I think it's going to be a great game, and may come down to Hartley's awesome leg. Of course I said that last year.
